A Successful Event!
What a wonderful event we had on July 18th! Fabulous food and an amazing speaker. ABWA, Women of Wisdom would like to thank VelMarie Peoples who spoke so eloquently, with motivating spirit. Starting off speaking about the ABWA mission statement, she charged the audience about the power that comes when getting together as a group. She explained how important it is to open our minds and hearts as women, and form a union - shoulder to shoulder - while encouraging all in attendance to join the Women of Wisdom chapter.
Ms. Peoples reminded us how boys grew up playing in teams and how girls gave objects (like our teddy bears!) life. She explained how women have a sixth sense that detects even the shadiest of events, and how we can tap into this sense to gain wisdom. Audience members chuckled with laughter and nodded in agreement with VelMarie’s words. 
Thank you again VelMarie, and thank you to all who joined that evening! Women of Wisdom gained seven more members, including VelMarie herself! To the new members: We are so glad to have you as our new friends at WOW! We are counting down and need around 15 more new members to become a full fledged chapter!
