Members: Please take this survey

Dear WOW Members

Can you believe a year has past since Women of Wisdom was official installed as an ABWA chapter?  In recognition of this event, we are planning on having a One Year Anniversary Celebration.  This event will be in lieu of our regular October chapter meeting.

Keeping in alignment with ABWA’s mission of “bringing together businesswomen of diverse occupations“, the board is also planning on inviting the membership of other ABWA’s local chapters.  The board feels this would be a great opportunity to bring together local chapters to network and support each other.

To make this event a success, we are asking feedback from our membership in the form of a survey.  Please, click on the link below to fill out this survey. Thanks for your commitment and support. Only 30 seconds of your time:

Davidic Dance Workshop

First Assembly of GOD is attempting to host a Davidic Dance Workshop two days next month. We are in need of at least 20 people in order to have the workshop and the cost is $20/person. Dates, days, times are still to be determined and will depend on the availability of those interested. Here is an synopsis of the workshop:

Tom & Margaret Keck, co-founders of Moriah Ministries, are offering dance instruction workshops to promote Davidic worship worldwide.  The format is flexible but usually includes two sessions of instruction.  Four or more dances are taught. Tom teaches on the application of the principles found in each dance.  After each session, there is time for prayer.  These workshops are dynamic, life changing events that not only teach men, women, and children the fundamentals of Davidic dance but also break bondages, set people free and hopefully, give them a great love for Israel and the Jewish people.

The workshop is open to men, women and children 11 years and older.  Comfortable clothes should be worn and shoes with good support are suggested.  A water bottle, small towel; notebook, pen & pencil for notes.

Don’t miss July’s Meeting

Kathy Dickason, member of WOW! will speak about her company and what it is like to run a business. Hers is Navis Pack and Ship Centers.

Navis Pack & Ship Centers is a third party logistics Network, a family of related companies that include hundreds of franchised Navis outlets and affiliated agents. The Navis network can solve packaging and shipping problems for industry, small businesses and consumers nationwide. Navis specializes in fragile, large, awkward, and valuable items, what we call FLAV.TM We have the special equipment, training, insurance, and relationships with shippers needed to package and safely deliver such items anywhere in the world.

Navis was founded in 1980 as a single retail store and expanded in 1984 with franchise operations in its Handle with Care Packaging Store. In 2002 Navis opened a new franchise, Navis Pack & Ship Center, based on its original franchise only operating in a warehouse and specializing in difficult to ship valuables. The Cleveland location was opened in December, 2005 by Doug and Kathy Dickason.

Kathy is a Cleveland transplant from Southeast Missouri; she moved to Cleveland in search of a new start and married Doug May 2, 1992. She has a masters from the school of hard knocks and a bachelors equivalent from a variety of college classes taken in both Missouri and Ohio. Her background is in business management, bookkeeping, payroll and human resources.

Doug is a John Carroll University graduate with a degree in communications. He worked for Barnes Group, Inc for 14 + years as manager of pricing and contracts. Both were victims of corporate layoff. After many hours of research, entrepreneur seminars, and interviews they decided to look into franchises. August 2005 they signed an agreement with Navis Logistics and invested their life savings into the American dream…their very own business.
